Vegan Tea Party

Ever want to throw a vegan tea party?

Well we got a special request to show just how you can do it!

In this post we will cover teas, finger foods, and desserts to wow your guests!

Tea:

Make sure to avoid those powdered tea mixes and stick to loose-leaf tea or tea bags, as many mixes contain powdered milk (or whey powder). Offer a variety of sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, stevia, or organic sugar. Plant milk can be used in warm beverages, but may curdle. In order to avoid this, heat up the milk prior to adding it to the tea and stir it in slowly. There is also a variety of different “barista-grade” plant milks available that are designed not to curdle.

Finger Foods:

Offer your guests a variety of some light and savory fare to start the party off right.

Sun-dried Tomato Basil Pinwheels

Cucumber Tea Sandwiches with Vegan Herb Cream Cheese

Hummus Tea Sandwich

Heirloom Tomato and Cashew Cheese Tart
(HOT tip: use a muffin pan to make these into mini tartlets to WOW your guests with their cuteness)

Chickpea Salad Sliders

Spreadables:

Grab a chewy, fresh baguette or some crackers and get to spreadin’ with these delicious dips, jams, toppings and spreads.

Aubergine (Eggplant) Dip

Baked Almond Feta w/ Dill

Spicy Tomato Jam

Pickled Radishes

Easy Chia Jam

Desserts:

Complete your tea party with some tasty sweets that pair great with tea sippin’.

Earl Grey Tea Cookies

Lemon Blueberry Scones

Ginger Lemon Quick Bread

Cannolis

Swedish Tea Ring
